It is understood from the architectural characteristics seen in some of the city walls that the building was also used during the Ottoman period. Kadılar Slope, which is 8 km away from the castle, can be your next stop. This is the densest place of Ünye houses, which attract attention with their unique architecture. Kadis used to train here during the Ottoman period, and the houses they built formed the architectural identity of this place.

After lunch, you can go to Bolaman, a lovely seaside town in Fatsa. Bolaman Castle will welcome you in this town, 30 km from Kadılar Slope. Although the date of construction of the castle is not known, the fact that it has the characteristics of Kingdom of Pontus period gives hints about the period. With the wooden mansion added to the upper part in the 18th or 19th century, the structure moved away from its former appearance of a castle and gained a new and unique characteristic.

Paşaoğlu Mansion and Ethnography Museum are also among the places you should visit, 33 km from Bolaman Castle. The museum has been serving in its building that reflects the wonderful combination of wood and tiles since 1987. The museum's collection of coins, manuscripts, archaeological remains and seals comprises of over 3000 pieces. A magnificent church built by Orthodox Christians in 1853, serves as Taşbaşı Cultural Center in the urban archeological site today. Used as a prison between the years 1937 and 1977, the structure is 1.5 km from the Ethnography Museum.
