Global rent a car brand Avis, operating under the roof of Otokoç Automotive founded in 1928 as the first investment of Koç Group in automotive industry, is the first rent a car brand of Turkey. Being the industry leader since it entered the market in 1974, Avis Turkey has the broadest rent a car network and widest vehicle fleet in the country. With the responsibility of being the first and the pioneer, it makes a significant contribution to the development of the sector and other sectors that reinforce this sector thanks to the new concepts and collaborations it develops.

With the customer satisfaction it provides, it is kept at the top by its customers and crowns its success with awards. Avis Turkey maintains its leadership in terms of customer satisfaction ranking among EMEA countries. It also serves abroad in Greece, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Northern Iraq.

Avis History

  • It was founded in 1946 by Warren Avis.
  • Avis Turkey, Turkey's first rent a car company, was founded in 1974 under Koç Group.
  • The first fleet rental delivery was made to Profilo Holding with 100 vehicles, thus laying the foundations of Avis Fleet.
  • The first franchise was granted to Kayseri office in 1992.
  • In 1993, international online and real-time reservations were initiated by signing an agreement with Wizard System.
  • The first foreign investment was made to Azerbaijan in 1997.
  • Today, Avis Turkey provides services with over 100 offices in Turkey, Greece, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Northern Iraq.

Awards

Avis Turkey won the Golden Award in Rent a Car Category at Marketing Turkey Social Media Awards Turkey in 2020; The Brand with the Best E-Commerce Experience Award in Echo Awards at 2019; "Reducing Inequalities" award for the second time at Corporate Social Responsibility Project with its "We Speak the Same Language" project started with Hearing Impaired Education Activities Association, and Jury Special Award for "We Speak the Same Language with All Mothers" in cooperation with Fenerbahçe and İEEFDER at the same contest.

Awarded with Franchisee of the Year award for a total of four times from Avis Group, Avis Turkey was recently conferred this award among 110 countries in the EMEA Region in 2019. Winner of countless Outstanding Achievement and Outstanding Service awards within Avis Group, Avis Turkey ranked the first in EMEA Region for 11th consecutive year in 2018 in terms of customer satisfaction. In addition, it was repeatedly named the "Best Car Rental Brand" at the Skalite Awards and World Travel Awards, which are considered to be the Oscars of tourism, and got the leader title in the "Cool Brands" research. Avis also received Crystal Apple and Smarties awards in collaboration with Yandex, with its audio advertising project, which is a first in the world. It was named Best Rent a Car Company of Turkey at World Travel Awards.
